GEORGIA — Investigators in Atlanta are asking for the public’s help in locating an 18-year-old who has been missing for about a week.

According to Atlanta Police, Jayden Wilson was reported missing by his father on May 22. Police said Wilson was last seen around 6:45 p.m. on May 21 at his home in the 4500 block of Boulder Park Drive SW.

Authorities described Wilson as a Black man who is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and black Nike Air Max shoes with white soles.

Wilson’s mother, Amber Coleman, said in a social media post that her son had recently graduated from Charles R. Drew Charter School and had never run away or disappeared before.

Coleman said Wilson does not drive, does not have a cell phone and has never lived independently. Family members believe he may have connections in South Fulton, Cascade, Camp Creek, Riverdale or Indiana.

According to Coleman, a school employee told the family she saw Wilson Saturday evening at Lenox Mall. She said he appeared clean, calm and alone, and did not appear to know he had been reported missing.

Coleman also shared a public message to her son, telling him he was not in trouble and asking him to call home.

Anyone with information about Wilson’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Atlanta Police Homicide/Adult Missing Persons Unit at 404-546-4235.
