SOUTH CAROLINA — The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager with autism who was last seen early Friday morning.
Deputies said 16-year-old Darren Everette Smith was last seen around 1:20 a.m. in the area of Hudson Road in Greenville.
Authorities described Smith as approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and about 300 pounds. He has brown eyes and a black low-cut fade hairstyle. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and black slides.
Because Smith has autism, deputies are urging the public to be on the lookout and report any possible sightings immediately.
Anyone who sees Smith or knows where he may be is asked to call 911 right away.
The search remains ongoing.
