OHIO — Police are investigating after a 19-year-old man was injured in a shooting Thursday night in Akron.
According to Akron police, officers responded to the 200 block of Shelby Avenue around 10:30 p.m. after reports of gunfire.
Authorities said the 19-year-old victim was struck by gunfire during the incident. Emergency medical personnel transported him to a local hospital for treatment.
Police have not released the victim’s identity, and his condition was not immediately available.
No information about a suspect or what may have led to the shooting has been released.
