
NORTH CAROLINA — Five people suffered minor injuries after a crash partially shut down Interstate 77 in north Charlotte on Thursday morning, according to the Mecklenburg EMS Agency.
The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on Interstate 77 northbound near Sunset Road.
MEDIC said five people were being evaluated for minor injuries following the crash.
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, two of the five northbound lanes were closed near mile marker 15.6 as crews responded to the scene.
Officials expected the lanes to reopen around 11:38 a.m.
The cause of the crash has not been released.
