FLORIDA — A crash on Interstate 75 is causing significant traffic delays Thursday morning in Sarasota County.
According to reports, the crash occurred on southbound I-75 near the Osprey/Venice Connector off-ramp. At least one person was injured.
Authorities said one vehicle rolled off the interstate and into a grassy area along the shoulder.
Two southbound lanes are currently closed while emergency crews work to clear the scene and investigate the crash.
Traffic backups have grown to more than four miles, and motorists are experiencing delays exceeding 20 minutes.
Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes or expect extended delays while the response continues. The crash remains under investigation.
