ALABAMA — A two-vehicle crash caused significant traffic disruptions along Interstate 65 in Limestone County on Saturday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

Authorities said the crash occurred around 11:15 a.m. near mile marker 343. As a result, the two inside lanes in both the northbound and southbound directions were closed.

Officials did not immediately say how long the closures would remain in place, noting only that the lanes are expected to stay shut down for an undetermined amount of time.

Troopers responded to the scene and are actively investigating the cause of the crash. No information about injuries or the identities of those involved has been released.

Motorists traveling through the area are advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes if possible.

This is a developing story, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
