ALABAMA — A lane on Interstate 459 northbound is currently closed after a cement truck spilled its contents Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. near the 31 mile marker in Jefferson County. Officials said the right lane is blocked for an unknown amount of time as crews work to clear the roadway.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are on scene managing the situation and overseeing cleanup efforts.
Drivers are advised to expect delays in the area.
