TENNESSEE — A multi-vehicle crash has shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 24 in Clarksville on Friday afternoon, according to police.
The Clarksville Police Department said the crash happened around 4:02 p.m. near mile marker 1 on I-24 westbound.
Authorities said all westbound lanes are closed while the Tennessee Highway Patrol investigates the crash. Drivers are still able to exit the interstate using the Exit 1 off-ramp.
The extent of injuries was not immediately known.
Police advise motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the roadway reopens.
