
NORTH CAROLINA — A single-vehicle crash in Fayetteville left one woman dead and another injured late Friday night, according to police.
Officers responded just before midnight to a crash at Raeford Road and the Interstate 295 south entrance ramp.
Investigators said a 2013 Dodge Charger was traveling eastbound on Raeford Road at a high rate of speed when the driver failed to make a right turn onto the ramp.
The driver, identified as 36-year-old Tyronesha Shanae Sherlock-Benton of Fayetteville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle, 26-year-old Mikayla Love Langhirt, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and is listed in stable condition.
The Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
