PENNSYLVANIA — A 23-year-old man from Pottsville is suspected of driving under the influence during a fatal crash early Sunday morning in Berks County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers said the crash happened in Bernville when the driver crossed into oncoming traffic before crashing into a tree.
Authorities said the driver, whose name has not been released, is suspected of being under the influence at the time of the crash.
Police identified the passenger as 23-year-old Keenan Cryts. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by state police in Berks County.
