INDIANA — A fatal crash has caused the closure of Interstate 65 near Lafayette, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
INDOT said multiple northbound and southbound lanes of I-65 are closed near the 164-mile marker in Tippecanoe County, south of Lafayette.
Officials said the closure is the result of a crash involving one confirmed fatality. Indiana State Police from the Lafayette post are responding to the scene.
Authorities have not released details about the victim or how the crash happened.
The duration of the closure remains unknown.
