
GEORGIA — Police are investigating after a driver was shot while traveling on a DeKalb County roadway late Tuesday night.
According to the DeKalb County Police Department, officers were notified around 10:07 p.m. Tuesday after a gunshot victim arrived at a local hospital seeking treatment.
Investigators said the victim told medical staff he had been driving near the intersection of Candler Road and South Rainbow Drive when he was struck by gunfire. The victim reportedly told authorities he did not know where the shot originated.
As part of the investigation, detectives located the victim’s vehicle parked outside a Dairy Queen in the 3600 block of Flat Shoals Road.
Police have not released the victim’s name or age, and the individual’s medical condition has not been disclosed.
Authorities also have not identified any suspects or vehicles connected to the shooting. A motive has not been determined.
