
TEXAS — A woman in her 30s was charged after allegedly stabbing her cousin during a family disturbance Friday night in southeast Houston, according to police.
Houston police said officers were called around 8 p.m. to a home in the 6900 block of Flamingo Drive.
Investigators said officers initially responded to a family disturbance, but no criminal offense had occurred when they arrived. Police said the people involved were separated while officers remained at the scene.
Authorities said another disturbance broke out around 9:45 p.m. During the incident, a woman ran out of the home screaming, followed by a man who also exited the house.
Police said the woman stabbed the man in the back.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to a hospital in stable condition, according to investigators.
The suspect, also in her 30s, was detained at the scene. Police said she was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Investigators said the suspect and victim are cousins.
