
PENNSYLVANIA — One person was injured and a suspect was taken into custody following a stabbing near a Sheetz in Lancaster County on Monday, according to police.
The East Lampeter Township Police Department said the incident occurred around 3:20 p.m. in close proximity to the Sheetz on Old Philadelphia Pike. The exact location of the stabbing has not been disclosed.
Authorities said the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Police said the suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended at the nearby Sheetz. Officials added that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Investigators also said the suspect was injured with the weapon during the incident.
The case remains under investigation.
