
GEORGIA — A 5-year-old girl was seriously injured Monday evening after a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) driven by her 7-year-old brother overturned, according to authorities.
The incident occurred just after 7:30 p.m. in a pasture along Georgia Highway 51, officials said.
The Georgia State Patrol reported that the children were riding in the UTV when it flipped. Investigators said the 7-year-old boy was driving at the time of the crash.
The young girl became trapped underneath the vehicle, resulting in serious injuries. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and she was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
No additional details about her condition have been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
