FLORIDA — At least one person was injured in a major multi-vehicle crash Friday morning on Toledo Blade Boulevard in North Port, according to traffic officials.
Live cameras from the Florida Department of Transportation show several vehicles involved, including a semi-truck with a flatbed that came to rest across the northbound lanes.
As a result of the crash, northbound Toledo Blade Boulevard is closed at the Interstate 75 ramps. While drivers are still able to access the interstate, through traffic is not able to continue along Toledo Blade Boulevard.
Officials have not released the extent of injuries or the cause of the crash.
Morning commuters are advised to expect delays and consider using Sumter Boulevard as an alternate route.
The crash remains under investigation.
