
KENTUCKY — One person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a crash involving a motorcycle in Lexington Wednesday afternoon, according to officials.
The Lexington Fire Department said crews were dispatched around 2:46 p.m. for a reported crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.
When crews arrived, they found one patient who was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said Georgetown Street was shut down in both directions following the crash. The closure stretches between Glen Arvin Avenue and Douglas Avenue, according to Lexington traffic officials.
It is unclear how long the road will remain closed.
The incident remains under investigation, and additional details have not been released.
