KENTUCKY — Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead inside a vehicle along Interstate 64 in Rowan County early Thursday morning.
According to the Rowan County Coroner’s Office, Morehead dispatch received a call around 5 a.m. requesting a welfare check on a passenger car parked on the shoulder of Interstate 64 westbound.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and found a man unresponsive inside the vehicle. Coroner John Northcutt pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Officials have not released the man’s identity.
The coroner’s office said the death remains under investigation.
