
TEXAS — Houston police are investigating a suspected homicide after a man was found dead Sunday evening in northwest Houston.
According to police, investigators responded to Chrystell Lane, just south of Pinemont Drive and west of TC Jester Boulevard, after the Houston Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a body found.
Authorities said firefighters discovered suspicious circumstances at the scene and contacted the Houston Police Department to assist with the investigation. Officers later determined the case would likely be investigated as a homicide.
Police said the victim is a man, but his age and identity have not been released.
Investigators also said the exact cause of death remains unknown pending an examination by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Houston police said anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the department’s Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers.
The investigation remains ongoing.
