PENNSYLVANIA — Authorities are investigating after a woman’s body was found Sunday morning in a pond in Montour County, Pennsylvania.
According to the Montour County Coroner, the body was discovered in a pond on Roberts Lane in Valley Township near Danville shortly after 10 a.m.
Officials said the woman was partially clothed and had to be recovered from the pond by firefighters. Pennsylvania State Police and the Montour County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene along with local fire crews.
Investigators are working to determine what happened. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death and to help identify the woman.
The investigation remains ongoing.
