TEXAS — One woman was killed and two other people were injured Saturday morning in a three-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer in Brownsboro.
According to Brownsboro Fire Rescue spokesperson Jackie Smith, the crash happened around 9:42 a.m. in the 19,000 block of State Highway 31, west of Rock Hill Baptist Church.
Authorities said the collision involved a tractor-trailer, a Chevrolet four-door passenger car and a pickup truck.
The woman who died was an occupant of the passenger car. Smith said the victim’s next of kin responded to the scene, but her identity had not been released as of Saturday afternoon.
The driver of the tractor-trailer and the driver of the pickup truck were both transported to a local hospital with injuries.
Traffic in the area remains impacted as crews continue to work at the scene. Officials said all eastbound lanes are being diverted into the center turning lane and motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling through the area.
Roadway cleanup operations are expected to take several hours as crews remove debris from the highway.
