INDIANA — One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a head-on crash Friday morning in eastern Allen County, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. in the 15000 block of Old U.S. 24, just outside of Woodburn near New Haven.
Investigators said a car traveling east on Old U.S. 24 crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound pickup truck.
Police said the driver of the car died at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, authorities said.
The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
