WISCONSIN — An 18-year-old driver died following a single-vehicle crash on Milwaukee’s north side early Friday morning, according to Milwaukee police.
The crash happened near the intersection of 84th Street and Hampton Avenue.
Police said the driver was operating the vehicle when it struck a tree. The driver, who was the only person inside the vehicle, was taken to a hospital and later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Crews were seen towing the heavily damaged vehicle from the scene Friday morning.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim or said what may have led up to the crash.
Milwaukee police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
