FLORIDA — One person was killed and several others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on State Road 22, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 1 p.m. near Jarrott Daniels Road. Troopers said a black car attempted to make a left turn on State Road 22 and collided with an oncoming Jeep traveling in the opposite direction.
The impact caused the Jeep to overturn into a ditch.
Authorities said the driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger in the Jeep suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle and one of her passengers were also seriously injured. Children in that vehicle sustained minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
