GEORGIA — A woman is dead and several others were injured following a shooting Tuesday night in Albany, according to authorities.
Officials say the shooting happened just after 10 p.m. on Holloway Avenue. Dougherty County Coroner’s Office confirmed that one woman died as a result of the incident.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or said how many others were injured.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting and whether any suspects have been identified.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
