WISCONSIN — A Ladysmith man was killed early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 8 near Bell School Road, according to the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office.
Dispatchers received a report of the crash around 4:40 a.m. on May 12.
Investigators said a pickup truck crossed the centerline and entered a ditch before striking a driveway culvert. The truck then became airborne and crashed into a power pole.
Deputies said the driver was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extracted by the Ladysmith Fire Department.
The driver was identified as 53-year-old Jason Davis of Ladysmith. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
