TEXAS — One person was killed and another injured early Sunday morning in a crash in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas, according to police.
Dallas police said officers responded to a two-vehicle crash around 1:10 a.m. in the 5500 block of South Buckner Boulevard.
Investigators said a pickup truck ran a red light at an intersection and collided with an SUV.
The driver of the pickup truck suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the driver’s identity pending notification of family members.
The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Police said the person is expected to survive.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dallas Police Department.
