
SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Orangeburg County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred around 2:55 a.m. on U.S. 601 near Family Circle.
According to investigators, a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling north on U.S. 601 ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, suffered injuries in the crash and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities said the driver later died from those injuries.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
