SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Darlington County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 1:50 p.m. on East Bobo Newsom Highway near Narrow Bridge Road.
Authorities said the crash involved a 1996 Ford RV and a 2016 Ford Explorer.
Investigators said the RV was disabled in the roadway and was headed west on East Bobo Newsom Highway when the Ford Explorer, also traveling west, struck the RV from behind.
The Highway Patrol said the occupant of the RV was standing in the back of the vehicle at the time of the collision. That person died at the scene.
The driver of the Ford Explorer was injured and taken to a local hospital.
