
PENNSYLVANIA — A Carlisle man was killed in a vehicle crash in Snyder County on Wednesday morning, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash happened just after 7 a.m. along North Old Trail in Monroe Township. Police said the vehicle was traveling northbound when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole before rotating onto its roof.
Investigators said the vehicle then continued north, striking a guide rail and mailbox before coming to a stop along South Old Trail.
The driver was identified as 66-year-old Keith T. Kmetz of Carlisle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said neither Kmetz nor his passenger, who suffered suspected serious injuries, were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
