MICHIGAN — A man in his late 20s was killed in a crash involving at least two vehicles Thursday morning in Sterling Heights, according to police.
The crash occurred shortly after 11 a.m. at the intersection of 18 Mile Road and Mound Road.
Police said the man died as a result of the collision. His identity has not been released pending notification of family members.
Investigators said the crash appears to have involved at least two vehicles, but the circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation. The condition of the other driver or drivers involved was not immediately known.
Authorities established a large investigation scene at the intersection, where evidence markers were visible as officers worked to determine what happened.
The Macomb County Department of Roads reported that the intersection remained closed while police conducted their investigation.
The crash remains under investigation, and additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
