IOWA — One person was killed in a crash Monday evening on Highway 151 in Benton County, according to authorities.
The crash happened around 5:06 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 151 and County Roads F12 and E66, about one mile south of the Walford area.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, 33-year-old George Martin of Norway was traveling north on the highway when he crossed the center line and collided with a semi traveling southbound.
Martin died as a result of the crash, officials said.
Highway 151 was blocked in both directions for several hours following the crash and remained closed in the area as of about 9:30 p.m. The roadway reopened Tuesday morning.
The crash remains under investigation.
