GEORGIA — A 52-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night in south Bibb County, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Bethel Church Road and Knoxville Road.
Investigators said a Nissan Altima was traveling south on Knoxville Road when it was struck by an Audi SUV that was crossing the intersection.
Authorities identified the passenger in the Altima as Tony Gales, 52. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The sheriff’s office said no other injuries were reported in the crash. Gales’ family has been notified.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the collision and said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
