FLORIDA — A man in his early 30s died following a crash involving two vehicles early Tuesday morning on Jacksonville’s Northside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said the man was driving a Ford Taurus northbound on Ernwill Street around 1:26 a.m. when his vehicle collided with the side of a southbound pickup truck near Flicker Avenue.
Authorities said the pickup truck driver stopped after the crash, but the Taurus continued for about a block before striking a parked car. The driver was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The pickup truck driver was not injured.
The intersection of Ernwill Street and Flicker Avenue remained closed Tuesday morning as investigators worked the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
