FLORIDA — One person was killed and three others were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon following a three-vehicle crash in Deerfield Beach, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the crash happened around 1:45 p.m. near the 4400 block of Northeast Third Avenue.
Investigators confirmed one person died at the scene. Three other people were transported to area hospitals for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.
Authorities have not identified the person who was killed.
As crews investigated the crash, Northeast Third Avenue between Northeast 43rd Street and Northeast 48th Street was shut down.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
