NORTH CAROLINA — Detectives are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Wednesday morning in an Uptown Charlotte residential community.
According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers responded just before 7 a.m. to the 1000 block of Sycamore Green Place.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been fatally stabbed.
CMPD’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene and has launched an investigation into the death.
Several officers were seen at the apartment complex near West Trade Street as investigators collected evidence. The area was cordoned off with crime scene tape during the investigation.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or any information about a potential suspect.
Police have not said whether there is any ongoing threat to the public.
The investigation remains active, and additional information has not yet been released.
