TEXAS — A 15-year-old boy was killed and another teen was injured in a shooting late Monday night at a home in north Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to a residence on Remington Ridge, just north of the Greenspoint area, around 11 p.m. after reports of a shooting.
When deputies arrived, they found two teenage males suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to nearby hospitals in critical condition.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said one of the teens, believed to be 15 years old, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigators said the shooting followed a disturbance between a 15-year-old and an 18-year-old before gunfire erupted.
The 18-year-old was treated for his injuries and later released from the hospital, according to authorities.
Officials have not released the identities of either teen, and investigators have not disclosed what led to the disturbance.
No charges have been filed as of Tuesday morning.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the shooting. Additional details have not been released.
