LOUISIANA — New Orleans police are investigating a deadly shooting in the Hollygrove neighborhood that left a woman dead Sunday afternoon.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, the shooting happened shortly before 3:35 p.m. in the 3800 block of Hollygrove Street.
Officers responding to the scene found an adult woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
New Orleans EMS confirmed the victim died from her injuries.
Authorities have not released the woman’s identity, and no suspect information was immediately available.
The investigation remains ongoing.
