GEORGIA — A 25-year-old man was found shot to death inside a Wilkinson County home early Thursday morning, according to authorities.
Wilkinson County Coroner Dusty Thomas said officials were dispatched to a home on Morningside Drive in Ivey around 1 a.m.
When responders arrived, they found the man dead inside the residence from a gunshot wound, Thomas said.
The Wilkinson County Coroner’s Office has ruled the death a homicide.
Authorities said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation into the shooting.
No arrests or suspects had been announced as of Thursday morning. The investigation remains ongoing.
