
TEXAS — One woman was killed and another person was injured in a shooting at a Walmart in Seguin on Thursday evening, according to city officials.
Police responded shortly before 5:30 p.m. to reports of a shooting at the Walmart located in the 500 block of South Highway 123 Bypass.
City officials said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was injured and was flown by helicopter to a San Antonio hospital for treatment.
The city confirmed the alleged shooter is in custody.
The Seguin Police Department said the Walmart store has been closed until further notice as officers continue to investigate the incident.
Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area while the investigation remains active.
