VIRGINIA — A motorcyclist died following a crash involving a car Monday night in Fairfax County, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 11 p.m. to the intersection of Braddock Road and Kings Park Drive near Kings Park for a reported crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.
When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist injured in the roadway. The man was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not released his identity.
Police said the driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Eastbound Braddock Road at Kings Park Drive was closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene. The roadway has since reopened to traffic.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released.
