One person dead following motorcycle crash in Ohio

OHIO — A 65-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Interstate 71 in northeast Columbus Saturday evening, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Police identified the victim as Alvin Duncan.

Investigators said Duncan was traveling southbound on I-71 just north of Interstate 670 at approximately 8:15 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected.

Duncan was pronounced dead at the scene by responding firefighters.

Authorities said it remains unclear what caused Duncan to lose control of the motorcycle.

The crash remains under investigation.
