OHIO — A woman was killed and a man was critically injured Sunday afternoon in a crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle in Pickaway County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the two-vehicle crash happened around 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of state Route 159 and Kingston Adelphi Road in Pickaway Township.
According to investigators, the driver of a Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling westbound on Kingston Adelphi Road and failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign before entering the intersection.
Authorities said the pickup truck then struck a CAN-AM Spyder three-wheel motorcycle.
The impact threw both the driver and passenger from the motorcycle, troopers said.
The passenger, identified as Peggy Sims, was taken to Adena Hospital in Chillicothe, where she was pronounced dead.
The motorcycle driver was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
