
NORTH CAROLINA — One person is dead following a motorcycle crash early Wednesday near a busy intersection in north Charlotte, according to emergency officials.
The crash occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. on May 6 near the intersection of University City Boulevard and North Tryon Street. Paramedics confirmed that one person died at the scene.
Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the person who died was the motorcyclist. Several vehicles were seen stopped at the crash site, though it remains unclear how many were involved or whether other drivers were connected to the incident.
Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
