
MISSISSIPPI — One person has died and two others were injured following a collision between a car and a motorcycle Wednesday night in Covington County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded to the crash just before 10 p.m. on U.S. Highway 49. Authorities said a 2025 Kia K4 traveling north collided with a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle that was also heading north.
The motorcycle was carrying two people, including a passenger identified as 42-year-old Jennifer L. Bush of Moselle.
Both drivers and the passenger were transported to a hospital for treatment. Officials said the drivers of both the Kia and the motorcycle sustained serious injuries.
Bush suffered life-threatening injuries and later died as a result of the crash.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
