
ILLINOIS — A 20-year-old man was killed Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in Oswego, according to police.
The crash happened around 1:42 p.m. in the 4000 block of Route 34 near Wolf Road.
Police said the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Route 34 when his motorcycle crashed into a trailer being towed by a van. Investigators said the van was attempting to turn right into a driveway at the time of the collision.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released his identity pending notification of family members. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
No other injuries were reported.
Route 34 was closed between Wolf Road and Boulder Hill Pass for about four hours while officers investigated the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
