
TEXAS — A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning near George Bush Intercontinental Airport, according to the Houston Police Department.
Police said the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Will Clayton Parkway near an airport parking lot.
Investigators said the woman was first struck by a white vehicle, which fled the scene. Authorities said a second vehicle, identified as a Jeep, then drove over the woman without realizing she was in the roadway.
The driver of the Jeep returned to the scene and remained there until officers arrived. Police said the driver showed no signs of intoxication.
The victim has not yet been identified. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still searching for the driver of the first vehicle. The investigation remains ongoing.
