OHIO — A 28-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Monday in Batavia Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 12:20 a.m. on Old State Road 74 at Olive Branch Cemetery Road.
Investigators identified the victim as Colton S. Dearing of Amelia.
According to the highway patrol, Dearing was found on Old State Road after being struck by an unknown vehicle that left the scene. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, Central Joint Fire-EMS and the Clermont County Coroner’s Office responded to the crash.
Troopers said the investigation remains active and authorities are searching for the vehicle involved. No description of the vehicle has been released.
