OHIO — One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer Monday afternoon in Stark County.
According to the Stark County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. in the 13100 block of state Route 225 in Lexington Township.
Authorities said the driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the car suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton for treatment.
The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained minor injuries and was taken to Aultman Alliance Community Hospital.
No additional information about the crash or the identities of those involved was immediately released.
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office said the crash remains under investigation.
