OHIO — A 78-year-old woman has died following a crash early Tuesday morning in Carlisle, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers identified the victim as Pamela Goins, 78, of Miamisburg. Authorities said she died at Atrium Medical Center from injuries sustained in the crash.

The crash happened shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Wolf Creek Court. Investigators said Goins was driving a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse westbound when the SUV went off the roadway and struck a mailbox.

According to the highway patrol, Goins re-entered the roadway but then hit a parked vehicle before going off the road again. The SUV traveled between two homes, went down an embankment and struck a tree.

A Carlisle police officer and a witness helped remove Goins from the vehicle, officials said.

The crash remains under investigation.
